Arlen grew up in the construction business working and learning part time and during summers, while attending high school and college.  After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, he returned to Brenham to work with his father in the family business. As president, his responsibilities include job costing and supervision, design, office administration and overseeing the general direction of the company.

While he enjoys all aspects of the construction business, Arlen finds his most rewarding work to be on larger projects and “architectural” or “one of a kind” homes. Aside from his time during college, Arlen has also been a life-long resident of Brenham.  He is very active in the community and serves in the following capacities:

• Bank of Brenham - Board member
• City of Brenham - Board chairman – on the board of Adjustments and Appeals
• Economic Development Foundation - Past board member
• First Baptist Church – Core Essentials / Kid’s stuff, Relocation Committee, Grounds Committee
• Maifest – Coronation set up and take down

Arlen and his wife, Heather, have 3 wonderfully grown kids, Shea, Dillon, and Addie. The family enjoys snow skiing, beach vacations, hunting and hanging out at the ranch when time allows.
