Arlen Thielemann

President

Arlen grew up in the construction business working and learning part time and during summers, while attending high school and college. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University in 1980.  Upon graduation he returned to Brenham to work with his father in the family business.  As president, his responsibilities include job costing and supervision, design, office administration and overseeing the general direction of the company.

While he enjoys all aspects of the construction business, Arlen finds his most rewarding work to be on larger projects and “architectural” or “one of a kind” homes. Aside from his time during college, Arlen has also been a life-long resident of Brenham. He is very active in the community and currently serves in the following capacities:

  • Bank of Brenham – Board member
  • City of Brenham – Board of Adjustments and Appeals
  • First Baptist Church – Relocation Committee, Deacon, and regular mission trips

As a long-time resident of Brenham, he has served the community in numerous ways over the past three decades. Some of those past involvements include:

  • BISD – Core Essentials Program
  • Brenham Maifest Association – past board member and long time head of Coronation construction responsible for set up and take down
  • Economic Development Foundation – past board member (1998-2007 and 2010-2019)
  • First Baptist Church – Kids’ Club program, Grounds Committee, School Committee, and Sunday School Teacher, and Penitas Home builds, and mission trips
  • First Baptist Church School – past committee member
  • Hospice Brazos Valley – past board member
  • Habitat for Humanity – past board member

Arlen and his wife, Heather, have three children; Shea and her husband, Daniel Carter, living in Denver; Dillon and his wife, Kacy Dunn, living in Brenham; Addie, living in Denver. The family enjoys snow skiing, beach vacations, hunting, hanging out at the ranch and always looking for that next project out there when time allows.
